Nairobi, Kenya's capital and largest city, still conjures all the romance and adventure of its colorful colonial days. The city evolved from a humble camp for railway workers in 1899 to the capital of British East Africa by 1907. The city has not lost its sense of the past, with an excellent museum and the historical home of Karen Blixen, author of Out of Africa open to visitors Overnight stay at Nairobi: Azure Hotel Nairobi Westlands

After breakfast, proceed to Lake Nakuru and reach before lunch. Afternoon proceed for game drive Lake Nakuru - Kenya's finest national parks. Flanked by rocky escarpments, pockets of acacia forest and at least one waterfall, the park is gorgeous year-round and is home to both black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, hippos and endangered Rothschild's giraffes. Rising water levels in 2014 forced the park's famous flamingos to flee (although a small number had returned at the time of research), and the lake is now hauntingly surrounded by drowned trees. The southern end of the lake is the best place to see wildlife. The forested area below Flamingo Hill is a favorite lion-spotting point – lionesses love to sleep in the trees – while leopards frequent the same area, and are also sometimes seen around the Makalia camp. After breakfast drive to Maasai Mara and reach before lunch. Afternoon proceed for game drive @ The Masai Mara Reserve - found in south-western Kenya and is a continuation of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, over the border. It was named after the people who have made their homes in the area for centuries, the Masai, and is one of Kenya’s most popular tourist destinations. Although tours to the Masai Mara cannot pass into the Serengeti in Tanzania, the animals freely pass between the countries. The park is over 1500 square kilometres in size and is a paradise of rolling plains and savannas. The Masai Mara is home to a huge population of wildlife, including the big five and all major African cats. Here, you’ll be able to witness the annual migration of animals from the Serengeti Park, allowing it to offer the most coveted of all safaris in Africa. It was also here where the hit BBC television documentary Big Cat Diaries was filmed. The area remains one of the most researched national parks in Kenya as its vast population and conserved area is ideal. The Masai Mara tribe is arguably the most famous of all African tribes and have been in the region of the Masai Mara Reserve for centuries, using the plains to feed their livestock, hunt and make their homes.
